Founders and mentors agree to different things, so both sets of terms are on this page. You are asked to accept the one that applies to you when you first use the platform, and again whenever the version changes.
By booking and paying for a mentoring session, the Founder agrees to the following terms:
The price shown on a mentor’s profile is the price the Founder pays — nothing is added at checkout. ValWithProof retains a 20% platform fee out of that amount and the mentor receives the remaining 80%. Payment is taken when the session is requested and buys one mentoring session of the length stated on the booking.
Paying reserves the requested time; it does not confirm the session. The mentor may accept the requested slot, propose a different one, or decline. If the mentor declines, or proposes an alternative slot the Founder does not accept, the session was never agreed and the full amount — including the platform fee — is refunded automatically.
If the Founder cancels 24 hours or more before the session starts, the full amount is refunded. If the Founder cancels within 24 hours of the start time, 50% of the amount is refunded and the remainder is retained towards platform and processing costs. If the Founder does not attend a confirmed session, no refund is due. If the mentor cancels or does not attend, the Founder is refunded in full and ValWithProof retains no fee. Where the meeting could not take place for technical reasons, or neither side attended, the Founder is refunded in full. Refunds are issued to the original payment method through Razorpay and typically reach the account within 5–7 working days.
Founders must not ask mentors to share personal information, contact details, social media accounts, or other private information during the meeting.
ValWithProof and the mentor are responsible only for conducting the booked mentoring session. Neither ValWithProof nor the mentor is responsible for complete product development, implementation, execution, or for guaranteeing the success of the Founder’s product or business.
Advice given during a session is professional guidance and discussion, not a professional opinion you are entitled to rely on. The Founder is responsible for evaluating and implementing any advice received.
ValWithProof may suspend or close an account that abuses the platform, harasses another user, or attempts to take payment for sessions outside it. Sessions already paid for are refunded in line with the policy above.
Version 2026-09-05
By accepting and conducting a mentoring session, the Mentor agrees to the following terms:
Once a Founder has paid and requested a time slot, the Mentor is expected to accept and conduct the meeting at that time, or to propose an alternative the Founder can accept. A request the Mentor declines is refunded to the Founder in full.
The Founder pays ValWithProof the session price the Mentor has set. ValWithProof retains a 20% platform fee out of that price; the remaining 80% is payable to the Mentor, subject to taxes and other applicable deductions. Payouts are made by ValWithProof directly, by UPI transfer to the UPI ID the Mentor has given, within 48 hours of the session being recorded as delivered. Founders never pay Mentors directly, and ValWithProof holds the payment until then. Each payout is recorded against the session with its transaction reference and is visible to the Mentor in their console.
If the Mentor does not attend a confirmed session, or cancels it, the Mentor is paid nothing, ValWithProof retains no fee, and the Founder is refunded in full. Repeated non-attendance may end the Mentor’s listing.
Mentors are listed only after ValWithProof has checked their identity and the professional claims on their profile. Identity documents supplied for that check are visible only to the Mentor and to ValWithProof administrators, are never shown to Founders, and are never published on a profile.
Mentors must not share personal contact details, phone numbers, private email addresses, social media accounts, or other sensitive personal information during a meeting, and must not take payment for sessions outside the platform.
The Mentor’s responsibility is limited to providing guidance during the booked session. The Mentor is not responsible for developing, implementing or completing the Founder’s product or business.
